The demo of Biohazard 4 which was shown at E3 in 2003. Notice the differences between this version and the released version. This was known in the "biohazard4 secret DVD" as "Hallucination". Hiroyushi Kobayashi referred to it instead as the "Hooked Man version", relating to the "Hook Man" enemy encountered in the demo. In this version, Leon was to experience disturbing hallucinations, each one being represented in the game with a filter change. It may be that he was infected with the Progenitor virus in this version, like the preceding "Fog" version. In the end, this version was scrapped due to a number of technical limitations on the GameCube at the time. A popularized supplemental reason for its scrapping is with the hallucinatory nature of the enemies, something more tuned to the likes of Silent Hill than to Biohazard.
