Gigi Hadid was mocked on social media over her awkward turn as co-host of the 2016 American Music Awards alongside Jay Pharoah. Hosts Jay Pharoah and Gigi Hadid wasted no time calling out President-Elect Donald Trump and wife Melania Trump during their opening monologue at the 2016 American Music Awards on Sunday night (Nov. 20). After taking shots at Drake and Meek Mill, supermodel Hadid put forth her best version of Melania. "I gotta do the face right," she said, pursing her lips before saying in an accented voice, "I love my husband, President Barack Obama and our children, Sasha and Malia." Beyond making like Melania, Hadid also squeezed in this political quip. “Everyone looks so beautiful tonight,” she said to the attendees. “But don’t worry, guys. Tonight, we don’t have to worry about the electoral college!" The former Saturday Night Live star followed suit with his best Donald impression, cracking that Trump actually inspired the Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars hit "Uptown Funk."
