La popstar statunitense, lontana dalle scene musicali da ben sei anni dopo le disastrose vendite di Lotus, ha pubblicato lo scorso 4 maggio 2018 sui suoi canali social e sulle principali piattaforme di streaming musicale il brano Accelerate, scritto con i rapper Ty Dolla $ ign e 2 Chainz e prodotto da Kanye West, che anticipa l'uscita dell'album intitolato Liberation.
ll videoclip che accompagna la canzone, che segna l'inizio della nuova era musicale dell'Aguilera, è già considerato da molti "troppo hot" per Youtube, per via di alcune immagini ad alto contenuto erotico, anche se la piattaforma di visualizzazioni e condivisioni video non ha effettuato alcun tipo di censura.
La cantante ha condiviso via Twitter la "sexy"cover del brano, dove si mostra avvolta in un lungo abito nero dalla scollatura vertiginosa che lascia intravedere il seno:

Il testo della canzone, che abbraccia un sound hip hop ed R&B che ha letteralmente spiazzato i fan della cantante ormai abituati al genere pop, include non poche frasi provocatorie e che rispecchiano perfettamente le immagini "bollenti" del video musicale diretto da Zooey Grossman.
"Vieni qui piccolo, prendi la tua velocità... riempimi, è quello di cui ho bisogno", canta la popstar nel brano che lei stessa definisce come "il primo passo verso una liberazione da un sistema in cui era imprigionata".

Nel videoclip la cantante indossa vari outfit, che vanno dal bianco e nero al vivido, mentre assume pose sexy e sguardi provocanti tra un bicchiere di latte da assaporare prima di essere completamente sommersa da una cascata di miele e poi di glitter.
La scena più "dirty" è sicuramente quella dove l'Aguilera si mostra completamente nuda e con il seno coperto da un nastro adesivo nero che formano due croci.
