Ariel Winter,l’attrice che interpreta Alex Dunphy inModern Family, è ufficialmente un minoreemancipato e cioè è una minorenne non più soggetta alla potestà deigenitori.
Ma facciamo un passo indietro. Nel 2012 cominciano le indagini sulla madre Chrisoula “Chrystal” Workmansospettata di abusare fisicamente epsicologicamente di Ariel.
La ragazza, allora 14enne, viene allontanatadalla madre e posta sotto la tutela legale temporanea della sorella Shanelle Gray, allora 34enne.
Comincia così una lunga e difficile battagliadella piccola Ariel per ottenere il diritto dell’emancipazione, battaglia cheviene finalmente vinta poche settimane fa. L’annuncio che ha fatto su Twitterdice:
“I am now officially emancipated!!!I'm really lucky I have an amazing support system and lovely people in my lifewho have given me the support and guidance to have been given this wonderfulopportunity. Most importantly I want to thank @shanelle_gray and my father fortheir special support regarding this matter, I really couldn't have done itwithout them. Thank you to all of my family, friends, and fans who havesupported me through all of my endeavors in life, and have encouraged me. Thankyou for making my life so special! I can't wait to embark on my newadventures.”
